Ucd Demo

Howdy All,

The Wrestling Demo For this years sports expo in Ucd, Will be at 12pmon Wensday the 22nd of september (tomorrow). If Everyone could meet at the wrestling table in the sports at half eleven that would be great. That way we can get an idea of who’s going to be there and brief you’s all on what we will be doing!

Also Training will be at 8.30pm in the dungeon. We should have some new faces and for those intrested we will be getting ready for the Irish open on the 8th of October!

Training Times From September 2010

Howdy All,

Welcome back! Hope Everyone had a great summer and are ready to get stuck back into training! I also hope to see lots of new faces this year. The new training times are: Wednesday 8.30-10pm & Friday 5-7pm. We have gotten an extra half hour this year on the wednesday so lets make good use of it. We will be starting training on September 15th and hope to see you all there. We will use this class to give new comers an idea as to what there going to be doing, and also to jog the memory more experienced guys. Looking forward to a good start this year!

Training resumes Wednesday January 20th

Happy New Year!

Training resumes on Wednesday 20th January at 9pm in Hall C, UCD Sports Centre.

This session will be 45 mins of wrestling specific strength and conditioning.

The next session with technique will take place on Friday 22nd from 5-7 pm in Hall C.

Training finished until January 2010

Hey folks,

Training is finished now until the New Year. We will start back in the 2nd or 3rd week of January.

Everyone has put in a great effort in the first term and we’ve seen great improvements in fitness and technique. Let’s build on that into 2010.

Training starts September 23rd

Hey folks,

Training for the new term starts on Wednesday September 23rd at 9pm in Hall C in the UCD Sports Centre.

Membership is open to UCD students, staff members and graduates only.

Training times from then on are as follows:

Wednesdays 9-10pm in Hall C

Fridays 5-7pm in Hall C

Wrestling Training finished until September

Hey folks,

Wrestling training in UCD is finished now until the end of September when the college term resumes.

If you wish to join in September, come along to our Stand at the Sports Expo in Freshers week.

If you wish to join a club now, please see the Hercules Club in Dublin as training takes place through the summer on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Wrestling Competition – Carrickfergus April 25th

A novice competition for Juniors and Seniors is taking place this coming Saturday in Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland. Details are below:

Wrestling Competition April 2009

Juniors & Seniors Freestyle

When: Saturday 25th April (1 Day)

Where: Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland

Weigh In: Strictly 18.45 on the night

Weights: Junior Male / Female To be Matched on day

Seniors 50-55kg / 60kg / 74kg / 84kg / 96kg / 96kg-120kg

Cost: 20 euros each. Payment due Thursday 23rd – includes transport and entry fee

Closing Date: Thursday 23rd April

I stumbled upon an excellent wrestling website / resource today.

No Training this Weekend – March 13th and 14th

Hey folks, There will be no training this Friday and Saturday, the 13th and 14th March due to Spring Break.

Training will resume next week on the 20th March.

UCD Refreshers Day – Thursday 5th February – Review Training Session

Hey folks,

Refreshers Day 2009 will take place on Thursday 5th February 2009 in the Astra Hall, Students Centre, from 10am – 5 pm

Refreshers Day provides clubs and societies with an opportunity to formally recruit new members, particularly those students who may have joined UCD after Sports Expo / Freshers Week, or those students who are only in UCD for the second semester.

If you are interested in joining the Wrestling Club, please visit our table and sign up. We will be running an introductory training session on Friday 6th February in Hall C, Student Centre, from 5pm to 7pm.

It’s 10 euros to join the club and this also covers insurance. You even get a free t-shirt and hat. We’re a friendly bunch
